Tech Training
1) Training runs three weeks in Scottsdale and is very full time. Two weeks for technical information and the third week is "hands-on" on with clients with supervision and very valuable to the new licensee. Week-ends are optional but the lab is open on week-ends to work with each other, etc.
Typically training starts on the first Monday of the month and completes on the third Friday of the month. The graduation dinner is usually on the last Thursday evening.
Two techs are trained for the price of the licensing. If you wish to train a third, which is typically unnecessary, the cost is $6000. Typically the two trained techs train additional staff.
You then have access to technical support from the office and access to several list serves for continuing your education.
2) Prior to training in Scottsdale, you must have a Brain Map and at least five sessions completed. If you do your sessions locally, please forward your Brain Map to Alexa in Scottsdale well before training begins. If necessary, you can do your Brain Map and sessions in Scottsdale. Please allow enough time for this prior to beginning training.
While you are in training, you will receive additional sessions, often in the range of 12 or so. Additionally, it is not unusual for trainees to do sessions on each other during the week-ends. Because you are doing sessions and around a highly charged learning environment, it is recommended that you follow the guidelines as if you were doing sessions in an affiliate office. In other words, of course, no alcohol, plenty of protein powder (there is a Costco walking distance from BST in Scottsdale) and journaling. 3) Proficiency on the PC is paramount. The training seriously bogs down when trainees can't get around on a hard drive. You need to be able to create directories anywhere on the hard drive, save to those directories, etc. These directories are not the default settings of My Documents, etc., as many have become familiar. Licensees must be able to effectively get around a hard drive. While many wish to find their own hotel, others may wish to room together to share costs, rides, camaraderie, etc.. Clearly, you will be a close-knit group when you are finished with training.. For sharing accommodations, contact Alexa at BST.
I recommend Extended Stay Hotels especially if you are by yourself. There are a number of Extended Stay Hotels in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. Several are very close to BST. I also very highly recommend the Wingate Inn & Suites of Scottsdale - about a mile from BST. The Wingate is a business hotel and I prefer it over most hotels in the area. Lots of electrical plug-ins, desk, great in-room amenities including great towels, beds, sheets, etc. The Scottsdale Wingate offers great rates and discounts are available by using my company VisionariesLab or BST.
